Zeynep Sönmez (born 30 April 2002) is a Turkish professional tennis player.
Sönmez has a career-high singles ranking by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) of 217, achieved on 12 June 2023. She also has a career-high doubles ranking by the WTA of 891, achieved on 12 September 2022. She has won four singles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.
Sönmez competes for Turkey in the Billie Jean King Cup, where she has a win/loss record of 3–1.
History
2023: WTA debut, Turkish No. 1 player, first WTA 125 final
She made her WTA debut at the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships as a qualifier becoming the Turkish player No. 1.
She reached her first WTA 125 title at the 2023 Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana losing to Marina Bassols Ribera in straight sets.
